By learning the skills to conduct physical assessments, prescribe exercise, and design and manufacture orthotics, you can help the elderly and those injured at work or playing sports through a difficult period of their lives. In our program, you can find yourself immersed in classes that will teach you about human anatomy, musculoskeletal structure, biomechanics, kinesiology, a multitude of physical therapy techniques, and much more.
Initially, you will learn the theory behind the human body, but as you get more knowledgeable, you will begin to put the theory into practice by engaging in hands-on exercises and physical assessments. By accumulating real-life practical experience before you graduate, you will feel ready to employ the practical skills to help those who are injured and in need of rehabilitation.
Through our program’s combination of theory and practical hands-on experience, you will learn everything that you need to know about health laws, physical assessments, orthotics, long-term care, public health, orthotics and assistive technology design and manufacturing, and many different forms of physical therapy. See what our program can offer you.
